Gwanda District, administered by Gwanda RDC, is located in Matabeleland South Province and shares boundaries with Beitbridge District to the South, Matobo District to the North West, the Republic of Botswana to the South West, Umzingwane District to the North, Insiza District to the North East, as well as Mberengwa and Mwanezi Districts to the East.

    To consider and make recommendations on all matters relating to education, health, employment generation and other issues of a social nature

    Particular Terms Of Reference
    • To make recommendations to council in regard to the planning, equipping and maintenance of schools and clinics administered by council.
    • To recommend to council the establishment of new schools, and Health centers.
    • To strategize on how the standard of living of the communities in the council area (i.e. both socially and economically) can be uplifted.
